Junction box recommendations for PBC10

Hello,
Just got a PBC10 and it's absolutely amazing. Well worth the $. I'm curious to get a junction box or other box I can put on or under my board where I can plug the guitar input and the two amp outputs and is more accessible. I don't want to stress the jacks on the back of the PBC, so the plan would be to connect the two outputs of and the guitar input of the PBC into a junction box and then connect the amps and guitar directly to that box.

I'm curious what others are using. I want to be mindful not to affect the tone at all or introduce another buffer cause the PBC's buffers are so good. Thanks!

I used the Goodwood Underfacer TX (as well as the Isolator TX for the insert loop to go to a dry output for W/D/W) for several years. Sure, there were a lot of buffers in the chain but I didn’t notice any impact to the tone with or without some of the buffers turned off. I was super happy with it, and it made muting and summing a lot easier with their RMT switch attached to it.

But if you really want no buffers/transformers, you should just get a cheap pass through box or wire your own jacks that attach to the side/back of the board and have leads going into the ins and outs of the PBC.

You could always grab an OTS2 Patch-Box from Axess Electronics and simply turn off the input buffer. You wouldn't even need to provide the box with power in that situation, and you'd have a killer input buffer if you ever wanted or needed one.

Using any patchbay/junction box without any powered functionality should have no impact, with the possible exception that you are adding more cable to the signal chain. But if you’re using the PBC’s buffers, that shouldn’t be an issue.

Thanks for the reply. With the goal of running mono out to my two amp heads (Hiwatt and Orange), I have a few questions:
1. On the OTS2 box you referenced, would Output A and B on the PBC10 get patched to the AMP and TRS jack with standard TS patch cables?
2. Would input 1-4 jack on PBC10 get patched to the guitar jack on the OTS2 with standard TS patch cable?
3. On the other side of the OTS2, i would connect standard TS cables to my Hiwatt and Orange amps?

Thanks!
